While traffic tickets can be paid without going to court, criminal charges must be answered for personally.  There are misdemeanors such as DUI, Battery, and Possession of Cannabis, which carry a penalty of up to one year in the county jail and costs potentially exceeding $1000.  Then there are felonies such as Possession of Cocaine, Robbery, and Murder, which can carry penalties from five years (for 3nd degree felonies) to life (for 1st degree felonies).

 

I first started as an Assistant Public Defender gaining experience in representing those accused of violating the law.  I then went into private practice as a Criminal Defense Attorney.  I have over 20 years of experience defending people who have been accused of crimes.
